Opticos has successfully led the sourcing of new solutions and re-sourced current services for a global IT organization, enabling the client digital strategy. This effort  was in close cooperation with Business stakeholders, IT management and Procurement management of an Industrial global company.

Our Client
Our client is an advanced industrial company with 18 000 employees operating in more than 35 countries.

Background and Scope
The client had a non-organized multi-vendor landscape with scattered license and T&M services setup with overlapping technologies and solutions requiring unique license setups with high costs. The client wanted a consolidated service and license model to ensure cost efficiency to be secured in combination with  alignment with Business and IT stakeholders on technology roadmaps.

Opticos Role
Opticos was asked to lead the work to set the strategy for the consolidated services and license model by defining the sourcing and cost efficiency frames. The work was conducted in close collaboration with the different business stakeholders, on SME to executive level, as well as IT Management. Opticos created the framework for sourcing and business case requirements.

Results
The sourcing team developed sourcing framework, process and governance for IT services and licenses. The cost efficiency was achieved by close cooperation of Suppliers, Stakeholders and IT sourcing management. The success was the clients continued strive of fulfilling new consolidations.
